About me

Yossi Karov: Personal information

Welcome to my personal corner of Edu-Multimedia.com, where I get to share my journey and the passion behind the multimedia content you’ll find here.

I am a retired scientist with a background in Material Science and Engineering. After earning my B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Technion – The Israel Institute of Technology, I went on to complete my Ph.D. from the University of Windsor.

I began my professional journey as an Engineer of the Powder Metallurgy Department at Iscar Israel, where I was responsible for the production of Tungsten Carbide powders. My experience at Iscar paved the way for a postdoctoral fellowship at Queen’s University, where I conducted research on the physical properties of dual-phase steels. From there, I became a Research Scientist at Eldorado Nuclear, providing support for production and the development of new manufacturing processes for Uranium Dioxide. I then spent many years as a Physical Scientist at Health Canada, where I built a Scanning Electron Microscopy Lab and a corrosion testing facility. My research there focused on the corrosion of dental and orthopedic implants, as well as the biodegradation of biomaterials.

In my personal life, I am a husband and father of three sons. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, jogging, and hiking. My love of learning extends beyond my career and into my hobbies, where I am always looking for new opportunities to deepen my knowledge and broaden my horizons.

At Edu-Multimedia, I create multimedia creatives that explore a wide range of topics, from biology and cell organelles to climate change and big history. These creatives are designed to be engaging, informative, and accessible to everyone, making it easy for you to learn and grow.
